LS Series Engines (GEN III)

The LS2 is a larger 6.0 liter LS engine that was manufactured and sold in: Corvette, CTS-V, and GTO. The LS2 uses the same heads that the LS6 does. The LS2 engine has a less aggressive cam and the horse power was around 400. In GM trucks, the LS2 produced around 390 horsepower due to the different intake manifold. However, trucks with the LS2 had  more torque at a lower RPM. You can find many suitable blocks, iron or aluminum, to build upon in virtually every junkyard or salvage yard.
